What’s On In 2025: Events In and Around Port Isaac
Staying with us this year? With so much going on in 2025, we’re looking forward to every season. Spring in Port Isaac is always beautiful and busy, with the St Endellion Easter Festival drawing crowds of music and arts lovers. Festivals, charity events and sailing weekends fill the Summer calendar. Beautiful Autumn welcomes the North Cornwall Book Festival back to the parish. And Winter, whilst offering a chance to unwind, is also packed with festive happenings such as the Port Isaac Illuminations and Christmas markets.

Spring: March, April + May
5th March
The most important day in the Cornish calendar! The national day of Cornwall recognises the patron saint of tin miners, St Piran, and is celebrated all over the county.
Wadebridge Festival of Music and Speech
3rd - 8th March
This six day festival provides a platform for Cornish musicians of all ages. Expect individual performances, music ensembles, choirs and school entires.
30th March - 5th April
An event run by local people, visitors and locals alike can take part in guided walks led by local experts in the area. Routes take you along the coastline and through woodland, with dogs welcome.
Cornwall Spring Flower Show, Wadebridge
5th - 6th April
Cornwall's answer to the Chelsea Flower Show, taking place at the Royal Cornwall Showground on the outskirts of Wadebridge.
The Port Isaac Sea Shanty Festival
Returning 2026
The Port Isaac Sea Shanty Festival celebrates local Cornish talent, giving visitors a real taste of Cornwall’s heritage. The event raises money for the local community and has been much loved and well attended since it started in 2019. After raising over £20,000 for the village hall last year, the event organisers are taking a well deserved break! We’re excited to see the Shanty Festival back for 2026.
Jesus Longboard Classic, Polzeath
12th - 13th April
Coming up for its 20th year, the Jesus Longboard Classic is a surfing competition held at Polzeath Beach. Hosted by Christian Surfers UK, competitors battle if out for the title in a number of divisions and stylish surfers travel from all over the south west to take part.
12th - 20th April
Bringing together musicians from all over the world, St Endellion Festival events are much loved and well attended. Tickets are now available for the special event, held in the St Endellion Church above Port Isaac.
1st May
Also known as Obby Oss Day, the tradition of May Day is celebrated in Padstow and welcomes in the spring with dancing, music, flowers and traditional dress.
Summer: June, July + August
5th - 7th June
Showcasing all things agriculture, the Royal Cornwall Show is a huge event that takes place in North Cornwall. Thousands of visitors flock to the Showground over the 3-day weekend to eat and drink local produce, watch performances and see heritage breeds.

The Peter Keeling Cup sees the Rock Sailing and Waterski Club unleash their fleet of Shrimpers and Dinghies for a series of local races.
Padstow Vintage Rally & Country Fayre
30th June - 2nd July
A huge three day rally showcasing steam, vintage and model vehicles plus rides, entertainment and food.
St Endellion Summer Festival of Music
29th July - 8th August
One of the most important and well-attended events in the local area, the St Endellion Summer Festival Music has a packed programme with something for everyone. Welcome in Summer in the St Endellion Church by attending one of the beautiful concerts.

A classic day of floats, fancy dress, competitions, kids events and local food and drink.
24th - 27th July
Rock Oyster Festival is a much-loved Cornish festival taking place at Little Dinham Farm overlooking the Camel Estuary. Expect international music talent, cooking demos, delicious food and activities for both kids and adults.
8th August
This charity swim is held in aid of Marie Curie UK. Participants swim the 1-mile crossing between Padstow and Rock across the Camel Estuary accompanied by safety support.

Lifeboat Larks is an annual fundraising event for the Port Isaac RNLI. The event includes a day of family-friendly activities, a demonstration by the RNLI lifeboat crew, and a BBQ.
Cornwall Folk Festival, Wadebridge
21st - 25th August
Running for five days over the August Bank Holiday, the Cornwall Folk Festival in Wadebridge hosts national, Cornish and south west performers.

The highlight of the sailing year, Camel Week is held by the Rock Sailing and Waterski club and attracts sailers from far and wide. Suitable for a wide variety of classes and abilities with something for everyone. Also running in August is Junior Camel Week for the youngsters.
Autumn: September + October
25th - 28th September
The North Cornwall Book Festival is Endelienta Arts' annual weekend with authors, music, workshops, art, a market, and a popular pop-up café.
Winter: November + December
15th - 16th November
The Cornish Winter Fair is an annual celebration of farming and food in Cornwall. Taking place across two days at the Royal Cornwall Showground.

Enjoy Port Isaac illuminated at the annual Christmas lights, switched on in early December and staying lit all month.
